The Prince Albert
This
the most common piercing for men performed at Sunderland
Body Art. It is said to have originated from the Victorian
era in England and was named after Queen Victoria's consort
Prince Albert, who was believed to have one. This piercing
was performed back then so that men could tie the penis
to the leg to hide any unsightly appearance in their clothing
as the fashion was for men to wear very tight fitting,
crutch binding britches.
This piercing is said to be the most sensual
of the penis piercings. This piercing involves a ring
which extends from the urethral opening to the area where
the gland joins the shaft of the penis on the underside.

Apadravya
This
is the vertical counterpart of the Ampallang. The Apadravya
is mentioned in the Karma Sutra, the ancient Hindu classic
on love and social conduct. Its origin seems to have originated
from the Dravidian people in southern India.
This piercing is primarily intended for
the sexual pleasure of the women during intercourse. This
piercing uses a barbell inserted vertically through the
gland of the penis, through the urethra.

Ampallang
This
piercing is the most extensively documented of all the
exotic male piercing. It's origin dates to the tribal
people of Borneo, Indonesia, Philippines and New Guinea.
Like the Apadravya, it is primarily used
to enhance the sexual pleasure of the woman, but also
feels great for the man. In fact, some women in the regions
stated above, will actually deny intercourse to a man
if he doesn't have this piercing. This piercing also consists
of a barbell through the gland, however, it is placed
horizontally, usually above the urethra, but may also
be placed through it.

Frenum
The
frenum is the second most popular male genital piercing
and seems to have originated in Europe. Location of the
piercing is along the centre underside of the penis. Piercers
start near where the gland meets the shaft of the penis
and can extend along the whole length of the shaft to
where the base of the penis meets the scrotum. If you
choose to have a frenum installed down the full length
of the shaft, it is referred to as a frenum ladder.
This piercing may also be placed along
the top or sides of the shaft as well. The lorum (shortened
version of lower frenum) is placed at the base of the
underside of the penis where it joins the scrotum.

Dydoe
Dydoes
originated shortly after World War II when some Jewish
medical students who wished to regain some of the sensitivity
they felt they had lost by circumcision. Usually this
piercing is done in pairs with one stud perpendicular
through the flared edge of the gland on each side of the
gland. A single, central piercing usually becomes quite
sore and has a much long healing time as it is easily
agitated by clothing. Because of the structure of the
gland of some men's penis, this piercing may not be suitable
for every man.
Compared to the Ampallang and Apadravya,
the Dydoes piercing are much more rare!

Foreskin
Historically,
the foreskin piercing was used primarily as a form of
chastity for ancient Roman and Greek slaves. However,
for most people of today, it is performed to display jewellery
or to heighten sexual stimulation. The piercing is performed
through the leading edge of the foreskin when the penis
is soft.

Pubic
Another
piercing that is not well known; the pubic piercing also
is not frequently requested. The ring is placed in the
natural fold created where the upper side of the base
of the penis meets the pubic area of the torso. Because
this piercing is considered a "surface" piercing,
it is more likely to reject due to the pressure against
the ring.

Scrotum and Hafada
Nearly
the entire scrotum is pierceable. The piercing can be
placed anywhere on the scrotal sac, whether on the centre
line or on the sides, front or back. One type of scrotal
piercing practiced by certain Arab tribes of North Africa
is known as a Hafada.
Hafadas are pierced on the left side of the scrotum during
a ceremony when a youth achieves manhood. Placed high
on the scrotum, one on the left side, one on the right
side, towards the base of the penis. Care must be taken
as these piercing must be superficial and can not penetrate
the scrotal sack.

Guiche
The
Guiche (pronounced "geesh") originated in Tahiti,
in the South Pacific. It is performed as a puberty rite.
This piercing is placed perpendicular
to the ridge of skin between the scrotum and the anus;
but placement is quite specific to each individual. Most
men with this piercing find a very sensitive spot along
the line, which corresponds to the inseam of a pair of
pants. This ensures maximum sensation, which makes placement
very specific.
This is a piercing done for the pleasure
of the man and is quite painful for a few seconds.
