TATTOOING:

We have a strict policy on the minimum age for tattooing; we have the right to insist you provide us with Photo I.D. if we do not think you are 18 years old. If we do not think that the I.D. you have shown us is good enough or if you cannot produce any we will turn you away. We will accept a Driving License or a Passport as I.D. but if you do not have these then we will need to see what other I.D. you have and decide if it is acceptable or not.
There is NO such thing as parental consent to get a tattoo if you are under 18, so please do not ask if we will do it.
18 is the minimum legal age to get a tattoo, (Tattooing of Minors Act 1969). For the purposes of this Act, Tattoo means insertion into the skin of any colouring material designed to leave a permanent marker. Basically this legislation makes it an offence to tattoo a person under the age of 18.

BODY PIERCING:

There is no actual age restriction for body piercing as it not classed as permanent and can easily be taken out of the skin. The only legality is that anyone under the age of 16 MUST have parental consent. If you are 16 to 18 we will most likely ask you for I.D. just to be sure you are over 16.

13 years old is the minimum age that we will pierce anyone and that is just usually for navels.

16 and above we will do most piercings but NOT genitals, we will only do them if you are 18 or above (so you could be asked for I.D. to prove you are 18).
