The team - danDan has been helping out at Sunderland Body Art doing a few days here and there since December 2009. As well as studying BA Honours in Fine Art at the Northumbria University in Newcastle which he completed in June 2010. Dan has been in an apprenticeship working for Dale and Pete at Roker Tattoo Studio since June 2008. The lads at Roker offered Dan’s services to help us out whilst we were in between tattooists leaving and starting. Now Dan has finished university he is in working more at Roker but he is still on board doing 2 to 3 days a week for us and we can see how his work has been progressing rapidly as time goes on. Dan realised that he wanted to be a tattoo artist from the age of 15 when he started to knuckle down at art at school, because he started to look at it as being the ultimate art form. Dan enjoys doing colour work, mainly traditional and Japanese but he also enjoying doing black and grey and other styles. Dan is doing a lot more custom work and loves drawing art work for his clients of which he has built up a good following. |
